# Roulette rules

Let´s look at the roulette rules in a simple and concise way.

Let´s start at the table. There is always a roulette wheel on the table, which - in the case of French roulette - is split into 37 slots - 36 black and red and one green 0.

The object of the game is to guess where the ball is going to land. Players use their chips to place bets on the appropriate fields. However, they have to do this before the dealer says the famous: "Rien ne va plus." ("No more bets"). As soon as the ball settles in one of the slots, the dealer announces the winning number and pays out any wins.

### How to bet?

So far it looks like a relatively simple and boring game but the possibilities for betting in roulette are innumerable.

One of the basic bets for example is the bet on a colour. You have an almost 50% chance to get back your bet (at the rate of 1:1, i.e. a win of EUR 100 on a bet of EUR 100). Other bets with this chance:

BET EXPLANATION
Rouge all red numbers
Noir all black numbers
Pair all even numbers
Impair all odd numbers
Manque all numbers from 1 to 18
Passe all numbers from 19 to 36

However the basic types of bet include also more advanced systems with higher risk but also with a higher possible win.

Plein 1 out of 37 numbers (e.g. 14) 35:1

Colonne 36 3/6/9/12/15/18/21/24/27/30/33/36 2:1

Moreover there are several special bets such as final or end bet. This bet is on the last digit of the number. For example the Final Four means that you bet on numbers 4, 14, 24 and 34. Bets on the last one through six thus require four chips, while three chips are enough to bet on the final 7, 8 and 9.

Another special bet in the case of French roulette is "thirds of the wheel" (le Tiers du cylindre), neighbours of zero (les VOISINS du Zéro) and orphans (les Orphelins). The first of these bets include betting on twelve numbers of the wheel from 33 to 27. The bet on the neighbours of zero covers a total of 17 numbers from 25 to 22; it is also possible to bet on the immediate neighborhood of zero, i.e. the bet is on 7 numbers from 15 to 12. And finally the orphans represent the rest of the wheel: numbers from 6 to 17 and from 9 to 1.

### Zero

When a ball falls on a zero, there are three possibilities.

In the best case scenario, those who bet on the zero may win (alternatively the lucky ones with a zero in one of their combinations). Another alternative is that everybody else loses, or in the case of European casinos - and this is the third alternative - the bets are frozen and their fate is decided in another round.

Those are the concise rules of the roulette. We are looking forward to your next visit to the on-line casino, when you can try the put the rules into practice.
